This is the world Jude Wainwright inhabits. 

Leave reality behind for a little while, come and see it for yourself. 

This is a key solo exhibition of 20 new and unseen works by leading Manchester based artist Jude Wainwright.

Jude was named ‘Manc of The Month’ in November 2022 by Cotton On MCR and she reached the semi-final of Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year in 2022. 

She is also an associate member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Artists and has exhibited her work nationwide including at the HOME Mcr Open Exhbition 2022 & 2024, ‘A generous Space 3’ in Huddersfield Art Gallery with Artists Support Pledge and the MAFA Summer Exhibiton at Dean Clough, Halifax with The Manchester Academy of Fine Artists. 

Jude (plus leotard) is currently based in a space at AWOL Studios, Ancoats aka ‘The Judio’.

Of the coming showcase, Jude said:

“In 2022 I was made redundant from my job. Since then, I’ve gone all in on painting, creating this series of 20 new works specifically for this solo exhibition at this pivotal time in my career. It’s a scary decision for an artist to take this leap, but there’s nowhere else I’d rather do it than right here in Manchester with my nearest and dearest, and maybe a collector or two… 👀”
